As the Director of Esports for The University of Texas at Dallas, I worked alongside the Head of Esports & Gaming to oversee the varsity esports teams, lead the marketing, partnerships, and community gaming programs, and have creative freedom for shaping our department from Day 1.
• Led a zero-to-one, fast-paced department within our university, growing the esports brand from scratch.
• Directed a team of 15 reports, ranging from esports coaches, team managers, social media coordinators.
• Directly responsible for the Social Media Team, Events Team, Broadcast & Production Team, and University Content Creator Program.
• Helped oversee department budget, payroll, wages, and department traveling.
• Reported monthly updates to the Director of Athletics and Student Affairs Leadership.
• Spearheaded the initiative for UT Dallas Minecraft, recreating the university in-game for thousands of students.
